Welcome to the updated version of the CSLA.NET Desktop Reference (Last Updated 25th June 2006).
The site has now been updated to include references for both version 2.0 of CSLA
and version 1.5 that ran under .NET 1.1. This goes hand in hand with .NET 2.0 and Rocky's new Business
Object books.
Rocky has put a lot of hard work into the new framework and it shows. In my opinion the business
object code that needs to be written for each different type of object has been
reduced and is now much simpler to follow.
Collection class code has really been
cut back thanks to generics and a couple of other features of .net 2.0.
For anyone who is interested in the ins and outs of what Rocky had to change between
CSLA 1.5 and 2.0 then take a look at his change log as it covers most of this very
clearly. He also posts a fair amount of information onto his blog too.
This site is of most use to people who have begun working on a CSLA project. If you are evaluating CSLA and want to understand more about what it could deliver to you Barry Mossman has an overview article on his site that should help.
I'd like to thank everyone who has e-mailed me with positive comments about the
site, and hopefully this new version will be as much of a success. If anyone has comments , please keep them polite, and mail them
to me and i'll do my best to action
the ones I can.
Please note that this site has been designed at a resolution of 1024 * 768 pixels and might not display too well at a lower resolution.
